    Thaks. In case any viewers only have a steel dtring acoustic but want to give Spanish guitar a whirl , look for ball end nylon strings and save shredding your fingernails no matter ehat length they are. Im using Earnie Ball, nylon ball end strings and you can find a video on installing them. A steel string acoustic usually has a thicker top so your less likely to cause damage but if you have a pick guard leave it in place. Yhe sound wont be as good as a flamenco guitar but its a cheap way to practice and you may need to lower the string action in most cases.

    • @FlamencoExplained
      @FlamencoExplained 2 месяца назад

      Kind of. Not everybody would agree with me, but the similarities between a classical and a flamenco are much greater than the differences, so very often the answer will be yes. And especially so with a not-so=expensive classical. Cheers, Kai

    I am thrilled to find this excellent channel! I'm wondering if Stephen is open for customers in particular to set up flamenco guitars for customers? I have an early featherweight spruce top flamenco by Lestor Devoe and it definitely needs fretwork amongst other things. If Steven is not accepting customers for such instruments would you have a high recommendation for someone else? thank you!

    • @OscarBruten
      @OscarBruten 3 месяца назад

      As far as I understand, beat 12 is the first beat of the dance. Like how 12 is the first hour. It’s functionally the same as beat 1 in other musics.

    • @2XUBLE
      @2XUBLE 3 месяца назад

      you can start on 1, and accenting the ( 1, 4, 7, 9, 11 )… in spanish flamenco they tend to count the first beat as a 12 pretty much like a clock, but technically the metronome is the origin.

    Small membrane condensers are the gold standard for classical and chamber music spot miking. Smaller capules have better bass response (counterintuitively) and tend to be less coloured. If you can afford schöps or dsp, good for you, but any modern cardioid design will work great and just touch up with eq in post. Good luck!
